Annotation In this paper, the conductivity tensor diagonal components of elliptical wire have been calculated in the model of free-electron with the use the boundary shape perturbation method with due regard for the size dependence of the Fermi energy. The effect of the cross-sectional geometry and matter of the wires on the frequency dependence of the real and imaginary parts of the optical conductivity has been investigated.
