We carried out an analysis of plural wave interactions in multiharmonic two-stream superheterodyne free-electron lasers (FELs) of H-ubitron type with helical relativistic electron beams (REB) in the small signal approximation. The cases of monochromatic and multiharmonic input signals were studied. We demonstrated that investigated multiharmonic FELs have higher amplification rates compared with two-stream superheterodyne FELs using straight REBs. We found out that frequency spectrum of electromagnetic signal forming in multiharmonic two-stream superheterodyne FELs with helical REBs is broader in comparison with frequency spectrum in similar FELs using straight REBs. |
