Annotation The work describes the preparation of nanosized zinc sulfide phase with ultrasonic fragmentation of polycrystalline basic material. The spectral and kinetic characteristics of the resulting system were studied. The changes of excitation and relaxation channels in the crystals by their sonofragmentation in a polar solvent are shown.
