Annotation E-polarized oscillations in the open multimirror resonator have been investigated. One of the mirrors of the open resonator is defined as an echelette grating with equal steps. Spectra and field topologies of the E-polarized oscillations of resonator are obtained theoretically and experimentally in 8 mm wave band. The results of the experimental investigation of breadboard model of diffraction radiation oscillator (DRO) with the open resonator under consideration have been presented.
